Get involved in the 39 brand new COST Actions starting in 2018

On 13 April 2018, COST’s governing board decided to fund 39 out of the 422 eligible network proposals. The 40th proposal is pending funding approval, which is expected on 26 April. The new Actions will be starting throughout summer and autumn 2018.

Researchers from Greece, one of the founding members of COST, participate in 97% of COST Actions and hold 3 Action chairs, 16 Vice-Chairs and 30 Working Group Leaders. 80% of the health apps evaluated in a European study transmitted health-related data to third-party companies, with only half doing so over secure (HTTPS) connections. Most of the apps did not meet legal requirements or standards meant to prevent users’ inappropriate and uncontrolled data usage and disclosure to third-party companies.
